Amy Lansky: Synchronicity and the Impossible (E02)

A conversation between Charles and Amy Lansky, a computer scientist and NASA researcher who was propelled down the road less traveled through her son's autism and its subsequent "impossible" cure. We talk about radicalization, skepticism, and gateways to synchronicity.

Amy Lansky was a NASA researcher in artificial intelligence when her life was transformed by the miraculous homeopathic cure of her son’s autism. In 2003, she published Impossible Cure: The Promise of Homeopathy, now one of the best-selling introductory books on homeopathy worldwide. Since then, Lansky has broadened her investigations to include ancient and modern teachings about consciousness, synchronicity, meditation, and our collective power to evolve and transform our world. The result is her second book, Active Consciousness: Awakening the Power Within, published in 2011.

  1. Huna is a Hawaiian word adopted by Max Freedom Long (1890–1971) in 1936 to describe his theory of metaphysics. Long cited what he believed to be the spiritual practices of ancient Hawaiian kahunas (priests) as inspiration, however, the system is his invention, with roots in New Thought and Theosophy, rather than in traditional Hawaiian beliefs. Huna is part of the New Age movement.

Max Freedom Re-defined Many Hawaiian words from their original meaning, HUNA is NOT Hawaiian. it is the sole Invention of Max Freedom, I loved Amy’s Journey through Homeopathy, But I challenge her to dig deeper into AUTHENTIC Hawaiian wisdom, quantum physics’ and medicine. I think she will love it, As will you, I suspect. I invite you to listen to a fellow artists podcast titled, “And still the waters rise”

    • Hi Ipo.

I am aware that Huna is not the same as “authentic Hawaiian wisdom”, which is why I am very careful to say it is “based on ideas from Hawaiian mysticism, which I believe it is. Thanks for your link. I will investigate it! It has been very hard to find authentic Hawaiian wisdom in my experience. Still, I find the ideas of Max Freedom Long extremely compelling to me personally, and in alignment with the model of reality that I am constructing for myself and plan to discuss in my 3rd book. Thanks again for your comment.

  2. Just wanted to say thank you to Charles and to Amy. I think this was a wonderful and inspiring conversation. Really thought provoking. Love the idea of Amy being a “clarifier”. I personally feel a deep empathic connection with earth changes and societal upheavals and changes happening at a personal level. The idea that the choices I make and the stories I inhabit mattering to Gaia and the stories themselves having their own consciousness. What is the possibility of a global peace ritual for example?

  3. Hi Charles, Nipun and Amy! I’ve listened to both podcasts and cannot wait to listen to future recordings. My favorite quote/sentiment from podcast material is in 1st episode where Nipun says “Micro Moments of Practice.” Mind-altering material! Ive blogged about you Charles numerous times in 1 of my blogs titled Global Rejuvenation, and greatly appreciate your clarity, inspiration and vision:

  4. Thank you Charles and Amy…nice to be lost. I am constantly getting caught between stories and it is so helpful to know it is ok to be lost.
