What personal data we collect and why we collect it
We collect personal data from people who become members of this site, including name, email, geographical information, personal account preferences, transactional data, and technical data (which courses persons registers for, etc.)
This data is collected when a person completes the following actions: registers as a member; registers for a course; registers for an event; makes a payment; subscribes to a newsletter; or leaves a comment.
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you upload images (profile pics, etc) to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
We keep contact form submissions indefinitely for customer service purposes, but we do not use the information submitted through them for marketing purposes.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Embedded content from other websites
Content on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
You may request to review your data at any time through this form.
You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time. You can do the following at any time by contacting us via the Contact Us form on our website:
- Change/correct any data we have about you
- Have us delete any data we have about you
- Express any concern you have about our use of your data
Where we send your data
In this section you should list all transfers of your site data outside the European Union and describe the means by which that data is safeguarded to European data protection standards. This could include your web hosting, cloud storage, or other third party services.
European data protection law requires data about European residents which is transferred outside the European Union to be safeguarded to the same standards as if the data was in Europe. So in addition to listing where data goes, you should describe how you ensure that these standards are met either by yourself or by your third party providers, whether that is through an agreement such as Privacy Shield, model clauses in your contracts, or binding corporate rules.
This website is hosted by Hoppel Design; all of your personal information and all files for this website are securely stored on their server. For more information about their hosting service, click here: About Managed WordPress Hosting
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

How we protect your data
The internet is not a secure medium. However we take reasonable technical and organizational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information.
When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.
All content on this website, and all transmissions of data to and from the website, are encrypted with secure server software (SSL), using a SHA-256 with RSA Encryption certificate. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the web page.
While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Administrative access to data list limited only to the management team who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, troubleshooting tech problems you’ve inquired about), we regularly review the latest data protection guidelines and regulations. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
