The book is also available on-line on the Sacred Economics website.

SETurkish“Occupy Wall Street/ Wall Streetİ İşgal et” sloganıyla yola çıkan finans dünyasına başkaldırı hareketinin de fikir babası olan Eisenstein, bu aykırı kitabında,

Parayla ilişkimizde neyin yanlış olduğunu gösteren temel bir analiz sunuyor;
Farklı bir para kavramının ve buna dayanan ekonomik sistemin nasıl bir dünya yaratabileceğini betimliyor; parayı eski “kutsal” haline nasıl dönüştüreceğimizi anlatıyor;
Bu dünyayı yaratmak için gerekli kolektif eylemleri ve bu eylemlerin nasıl gerçekleştirilebileceğini gösteriyor;

    No way to find your book totally translated in French? My level of English is ok to communicate and teach (I make technical training for customers) but and it’s a big but I don’t have the level to understand all subtleties of a written English book…please, the topic seems so fantastic I mean so fresh in this economical world where everybody’s waiting for new solutions of life respecting people balance, respecting nature and overall end of waste…of course you could say my book is not talking about this…yes, but it could really participate to lead us a such kind way of changing…that’s just my opinion…hope to find one day your book in French…or perhaps get it in English…
    Thank you, …only the fact of having read a such idea of “gift economy” will make me feel a really good night…
    Regards,

    Jérôme.

          I was wondering if there is a french translation of “The Ascent of Humanity”. I would love to read this but I’m afraid my level of English can be to limited for a full understanding of the book.

            No, sadly. Not at this point. There is a French translator working on chapters, but it is slow going.

      Hi Steven,
      There is an on-going Dutch translation project, but they probably could use your help. Will you send me an email to marie@sacred-economics.com with your offer here? That way I can forward it on to the translating team working on this.

    Hello from the Province of Québec (Canada).
    I downloaded the audio version of The Ascent of Humanity on December 23, 2013 and it has been a source of light, of pleasurable understanding , of hope, of enthousiasm ever since. I purchased a paper-copy to get the details right, because I want to invest time in continuing the work started in translating this profound book into French.

    However, I still have not reached the end of the (English) audio book; I’m somewhere in Chap. 7 ( of 8), taking my sweet time in that last 20% of the book… you know, like when a book is SO good you don’t want it to end!

    Then I learned that Charles wrote “Sacred Economics”, so I ordered a paper-copy from Amazon a few days ago. BTW: does anybody know if there is an audio version of Sacred Economics? I can’t find any on Amazon, nor Audible.com, nor TANTOR.com …?

    Anyway, I did receive, from Marie Goodwin, a few emails pertaining to my offer to work on the French Translation. I must try to get in touch with the other French translators to coordinate the work.

    I’m a retired Math Teacher, a bit hyper-active, fluent in English and French, very motivated for this “work of Love”… now if I can only center my energy, make time and start the work!

    What a great & important Mission!

    Thanks Charles!

    I discovered you through the Whole Earth seminars, liked the titles of your books so googled you tonight- right away ordered Sacred Economics and The Ascent of Humanity from Amazon having read enough excerpts to understand we are on the same track. I am finally getting around to writing a book I have had in notes for decades about The Story of the World as I tell it in the camps we make in Europe all summer, and I know The Ascent lives in that as well. My last book has just been published in Italy (an Italian publisher asked for it – I’m still looking for an English language publisher) – It is called THE JOY OF CARING FOR CHILDREN IN THE CIRCLE WAY or IT TAKES A CHILD TO RAISE A VILLAGE. I am an 84 year old storyteller, poet, dramatist, philosopher, an Assonet Wampanoag native elder that stays connected to my tribe while ranging out in the world to bring people together in circles to help them pay attention and listen to each other, to our children, to the Earth and all life. It seems we have a connetion, you and I, so I just thought I would acknowledge that.
